Here is a picture of the Versatile D-145 I have been scratch building. I've got a real good start to building the massive three point hitch on the back which will pretty much finish up the rear of the tractor. I should have this one ready for primer and paint by the end of the upcoming week. Have a good Thanksgiving weekend to all you Canadians :)

Well the pulling sled just looked wayyy too lonely on the shelf without something to stick in front of it, so after I finished with the WA-4 for the morning, I went to work on customizing a JD 140 pulling tractor to go in front of it. I ripped off the stock front axel and built a new steerable pulling front axel. I also fabricated a weight bracket for the front of it, new levers, a new steering wheel, aluminum air cleaner, exhaust, pulling hitch and wheelie bars. The stance on the rear wheels was too wide, so I did some hacking on the rear and built a new rearend for it which gave it a narrower stance and also made it sit a little higher in the rear as well. It still needs a few more details, but it will go on the shelf with the pulling sled until the WA-4 is ready for primer and paint early in the week, and then they will all get sprayed at the same time. Lets hope I don't mix the colors up and end up with a green WA-4!

It's been a busy start to the summer. I found some time over the weekend and early this week to finally get the 966 with the scratch built loader and grapple forks finished up. I took it outside to play around in the mulch and take some photos. I have the dump cart well underway for the Hay Cuber project, and should have that finished up and ready for paint by the end of the week. Pictures of that should be posted toward the end of the week. You can clickthe photo above for more pictures of the 966.

Here is a picture of the IH 656 with its lights on in the dark. I gotta say that it really brings back memories of when I was a kid. Quite often, we would see grandpa comen down the driveway at nite with the lights on, cleaning the driveway out for us. It looked just like this picture. We're having an old fashioned winter up here this year,... we've been getting snow about every other day on average for the last three weeks or so now. I wish grandpa still lived next door to me,... it sure would be much quicker having him plow my driveway than pulling out the snowblower every other day.
